With PF3 can I request another runway to taxi, land etc?

BTW I'm in EHAM (FlyTampa) the wind is 05013KT / Q1012 14/10 (as set in AS16P3D and readable in P3D), but PF3's ATIS is quite different to some reason: 02014 / Q1010 14/10 - so only temps are correct.

Thanks,

Yes, the default hotkey is Ctrl+Shift+W

Couldn't comment without seeing the log for this flight... please ZIP and attach to your post

Which log? The one by PF3? What is the file name, please?

Thanks,

How far were you from the destination? PF3 reads the weather from the simulator not what the weather addon. Active sky is known to inject the destination weather only when you are close to it. From my personal experience, FSGW will inject it way further(130nm), FSWX(freeware) aswell.

I was sitting on the ground and listening to the local ATIS. I checked P3D's weather by shift+z and it squared exactly with what AS2016 breifing was showing. PF3's ATIS was quite off.

Thanks.

I'm not sure how PF3 handles this but remember that in the real world the ATIS is only updated from time to time (mostly every 30 minutes). So maybe the weather had just changed since the last ATIS update? A change from 050/13 to 020/14 and by 2mb can happen in a short time.

Weather engines almost always require you to "update" i.e. manually send the current forecast to the sim. And to "refresh" the AI. On my system if I don't do that I may have to wait at least 10 minutes. And if I am doing a short flight there is often no time for the weather engine to update the destination either. Remember that PF3 reads from the sim via FSUIPC so there is often a delay. And don't forget that weather is not always updated even in real life the moment it changes. My local METAR for example usually updates at 50 minutes past the hour. But is frequently delayed and sometimes not updated. That's real world for you. Always make sure that your weather engine has injected the weather into the sim first before starting PF3. You can see that by checking your QNH. Set the QNH to what your weather engines states and check that it reads close to the airport elevation. That is a standard pre-flight check anyway!

Nah I did that all (refreshed AI, started PF3 last after 5min etc), and the wx didn't change btw as I loaded the wx file in AS2016. So P3F's ATIS was just wrong/different from what P3D and AS2016 showed. I didn't care about real world as I was interested in my concrete P3D+AS2016+PF3 ATIS wx mechanics.

Thanks,

Different maybe but not wrong. PF3 only reads weather data from FSUIPC and then uses that as it is.... it doesn't manipulate it in any way, there is no internal interpolation, so the issue is not with PF3 unfortunately. I say unfortunately because there is nothing I can do in such a situation.
