I've set this up. Is this correct or do I need to add/change anything else, or am I good to go?

Perhaps I could setup a hold at SRN (280knt/FL70). Would I get this or is there a % chance?

You can certainly set-up SRN as a hold and in addition in the misc options of options 1 select the probability percentage. Set to high if it is a busy airport which LIML is. However PF3 will tell you to reduce your speed to 220kts for the holding pattern.

On climb to cruise, no issues so far. Was given initial level of 4000ft, didn't hear any climb altitude after reaching 4000ft.

OK, just arrived at 1st route WP at FL300 and been told to descend to 4000ft...

Not sure what is happening, but I'm on route and should be a cruise not descending to 4000ft.

I've missed something I think.

OK, ill abort this flight and attach log, so you can see what I have missed

thanks

You never waited to be cleared for more than 4000 feet, ATC was just a bit slow to remind you of this fact. You can decrease the altitude nag interval, I have set mine to 30 seconds, I think the default is 120 seconds.

You can usually get out of such situations by requesting a new altitude, e.g. press and hold the "L" key, shortly press "2" (for 2000 lower), release "L". Then either immediately request "higher due to turbulences" (which adds 2000 feet to the last cleared altitude) or first descend and then hold H, press 2, release H for 2000 higher.

Off again, this time from 25C, departure spot on :)

'Request ACARS ATIS for your destination', can't get anything when pressing '2', again I must have missed something.

On route climb, very good :)

Update

reached TOD told to descent to FL300, then to FL260, but ATC has not given 'Expect arrival xyz', so I do not know what my arrival should be or even the arrival runway  , again I must have missed something

Good to hear that most things went well.

Regarding the ACARS ATIS: This is displayed in the flight sim's kneeboard, which P3D does not have.

Aaarh OK, with the ATIS.

OK just been haned over to Approach, again all I got was rgr OK. Surely On the initial approach contact the controller should give the approach and active runway?

Also the last center control, before handing over to approach should give the 'Expect xyz'. yes, we all know that in the US that can be 100's miles from destination ;)

So, now with approach and on the descent and still not knowing what teh approach or runway is

What am I missing :?

Just been given by approach 'Continue on the XYZ approach' :? , now what is that; the one I setup in the SID/STAR page or is it any other one. If it's the one I setup then that could have changed due to the weather and as ATC cannot give me ATIS, I'm not sure.

I've plumbed in an approach into the FMC, hoping it's the correct one.

Let you know when I'm down

Surely I have missed something on the approach section of this flight :?

Update: now ATC is saying 'check position, you show 4 miles off the airway'........

Update1: Just received cleared runway ILS36

Update3: Was 'cleared' runway 36 and now ATC says I have a runway change to runway 18, sorry that cannot happen once ATC has given you 'cleared. contact tower when established'

If there is going to be a runway change then ATC has to make that change BEFORE given the 'cleared...etc etc' command.

So, what did I miss or what do I need to change
Flight aborted
