I noticed the PTT Hotkey didn't work as it should because my transmissions were interrupted by others. I looked in the settings after the flight and found the checkbox for that hotkey wasn't ticked (PTT time is not set to 0). I reticked it and this was saved after a restart of PF3.
But the same problem on my next flight. And after the flight the checkbox again was unticked.

Please let me know if you cannot reproduce this issue and need my logs.

Regards

Ralf

I don't think I can reproduce this. What I did during the weekend:
- started PF3, enabled the PTT hotkey, exited PF3.
- did something else, including starting and exiting PF3 to check something and including trying to connect to a not running FSX.
- started PF3, PTT hotkey was still enabled, and did a flight
- finished the flight, PF3 crashed because I closed FSX before closing PF3.
- started PF3 and exited, PTT hotkey is still enabled.

Do you use anything besides PF3 that writes the PF3.ini? (e.g. automatic restore from saved state or backup, PF3 Randomizer, ...)

The corresponding line in PF3.ini is "HotKey22=1" in the section "[HotkeysActive]", maybe you can check this before, during, and after a flight.

Checking the PF3.ini file I found that the relevant line changes to "Hotkey22=0" everytime as soon as I connect PF3. All others stay activated.
No other software like Randomizer involved.

I also have had this problem since day one with this program. I just learned to live with it.

First question. What keyboard layout/language do you use?
Your hotkey=046 is "." a full stop on an English keyboard. If you are not set to the correct language it is likely to cause a problem especially if your windows is set differently. Mine is set to the default hotkey=022 and is causing no problems at all.

0046 is the Delete key in the six-keys block above the cursor keys.

One question from me: Does it already happen if you press "Connect to FS", but the flight simulator is not running. This would make tests quicker.

OK, I just did more testing:
- I downgraded to PF3 3.2.0
- I copied your PF3.ini into my installation, the only changes I made are: FSXPath, LastFS=8 and SourceP
- I started PF3, loaded a flight plan, did no changes to altitudes etc.
- Connect to FS, selected "Use Start feature only" (I think you did this, too, if I read the log correctly)
- Closed the comm log, Disconnect from FS, Exit

Then I compared PF3.ini with your copy: The only changes are the three I made above and "LeftPos" and "TopPos", because I moved the PF3 window.

So it could be something different on your system (e.g. language settings), only happening with P3D (chmenten, do you use P3D?) or something with the PF3 installation (but I don't know how this could produce such a specific bug).

It only happens with the sim running.

I tested with the default Esc key, with "space" and with a simple letter "p". Same result.

Also makes no difference if start / push is used or not.

Another observation:

I can connect PF3 while the sim is loading without an error message. No change in the PF3.ini.
But as soon as the sim is fully loaded the entry is changed in PF3.ini.

Result of further tests: It is MCE that causes this issue.

I had MCE configured to autostart with the sim.

Now when I start the sim without MCE the PF3.ini entry remains unchanged. When I start MCE afterwards the PF3.ini entry changes as soon as MCE is completely loaded.

Chmenten, do you also use MCE and can you reproduce this?

If so I will get in contact with the guys from MCE.
