This is an excerpt of my panel.cfg for the FSX Level-D:

[Window01]
file=forward-widescreen.bmp
....
gauge35=LVLD\B767main!TRP2, 1183, 443
gauge36=TGS!TaxiGuidanceSystem,135,350,130,100,Autohide ON

The bold line was added to panel.cfg. Now be sure, that the tgs.gau file is copied to the gauge folder of your fs installation.

With the last parameter "Autohide ON" the TGS gauge will only appear after you get the taxi instructions. If you want to display the gauge permanently, change the parameter to "Autohide OFF".

Regards
Wolfgang

Ah! Different Numbers.Why?
The manual states nbrs 140, 130, 100, 64,
These nbrs worked in the default 321 & 738 for me.I chose to hv it on the windos all the time.
Oh well,Thank You
Tim

Tim,
I'm assuming its FSX and in my tutorial it says that the gauge can be hidden behind the panel and you will need to play around with it to get it to show,in FS2004 this not an issue...all figures are guidelines only it is upto you whether you change the values or not to suit yourself

Okay try this and this does work.....
Go into SPOT View,by pressing "S" key once,
Go into VIEWS,then INSTRUMENT PANEL and look for TGS,make sure it is ticked and then move the gauge by dragging it with your mouse to the top of the screen.
Go back to the 2D panel and it should be there.
Do Not try to move it onto any part of the panel as it gets hidden.

Also in your panel.cfg try these values:

[Window Titles]
window00=Boeing 767 Upper Panel
window01=Boeing 767 Main Panel
window02=Boeing 767 Upper Panel First Officer
window03=Boeing 767 Main Panel First Officer
window04=Boeing 767 Overhead
window05=Boeing 767 Pedestal
window06=Boeing 767 FMC
window07=Boeing 767 MCP
window08=Boeing 767 Standby Instruments
window09=Mini Panel
window10=Main panel
window11=TGS

[Window11]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=100,100
window_size_ratio=1.000
position=7
visible=1
ident=5000
window_size_ratio=1.0

gauge00=TGS!TaxiGuidanceSystem, 0,0,100,100,Autohide OFF

This my setup and it works for me...

Thank you David.

One kwik question. "Updates" I am at 2.06

Do I have to update each one at a time to get to 2.11 or is there one "Update" that will just take me to 2.11

I've been really confused with this.Also,the manual that comes with 2.06 download is version 2.10
On your site there I just downloaded manual 2.11

This may be a dumb question but what manual should I be working with?

I have a page here (10) that I printed from a manual that covers TGS.I cannot find the manual that has TGS on page 10.

Boy....................I'm really sorry about all this trouble.Tim :oops:

Tim,

Our manual is updated with each release and since version 2.10 the following message has been displayed (in red) at the very top of the Version History document (which I hope you do read)

Please Note: The PFE manual (ProFlight 2000 Emulator.PDF) is no longer
distributed with AutoUpdates. The latest version can be downloaded at
anytime from our support forum or main website.

So yes, if you have the PFE version 2.6 manual and the one downloaded from our website they will indeed be different.

Regarding updates, you would normally need to hit the 'Check for Updates' button and if there is a newer version available then simply confirm you wish to download and install it. Then, after PFE has automatically restarted, try again and continue to do so until such time as the popup message says there are no more updates. Unfortunately, for some users, version 2.6 is a sticking point and our auto-updates feature will not get you any further. So, if that is what you are experience please check out the post near the top of this forum entitled 'PFE Manual Installation Instructions' to download and install the cumulative update which will take you to version 2.11.0. After that just hit the 'Check for Updates' button to get to 2.11.1
