I'm supposed to create a folder as such:

\PFE\PFE_Displayer

This folder is to put PFE_Display.exe into

Who said you had to create a folder?

Where are you getting this information from?

The following is from section 9 of the user guide/manual:-

After installing the version 2.10 update you will notice a new folder under
your main PFE folder named PFE_Displayer. Inside this new folder you will
see two files. One named PFE_Display.exe (the program) and one name
PFE_Disp.dat

Correct. Why would you want to?

The above example of PFE\PFE_Displayer is actually two folders. One named PFE the other PFE_Displayer. That's normal notation for describing folder hierarchy.

For instance, if I wanted you to create a new folder named 'Tim' under whereever you chose to install PFE I would simply say, please create a new folder in your main PFE folder named Tim (eg. ......\PFE\Tim)

Now you may have chosen to install PFE on your CD drive straight in a folder name MyFSAddons. In which case you new folder named 'Tim' would appear under MyFSAddons so you would have .....\MyFSAddons\Tim. The .....\ could be anything, like 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 2004\'
