Can I request a different runway from approach? I only see that option from tower...which is too late as I am already lined up and close to the wrong runway.
FSX and PF3 don't know if there is a huge mountain at the end of the runway, making it a one way strip, so I would like to make sure I don't get assigned the wrong one.

Yes, Ctrl+Shift+W after you have received your initial runway assignment.

USE the SIDS/STARS page in PF3 to permanently close the runway you dont want to use.

You may still see AI aircraft use it, but PF3 won't assign it to you.

you know i figured PF3 had a way to program in the arrival runway of choice!
