I used PF3 with MSFS back when it first came out with MSFS capability, but then did not use it for many months. This was with my original version of MSFS which I purchased from the Microsoft Store. Due to update aggravation with the MS Store, I deleted that version and repurchased the sim from Steam. I have recently tried to use PF3 again with the Steam version, but when I hit the connect button, I get an error message: IPC timed out all retries. This comes up almost immediately after pressing the connect button. When you click OK, I then get another error message: Problem connecting to Flightsim or flightsim/FSUIPC not running! (See screenshots attached)
I ran the latest version of FSUIPC7 manually before clicking connect.
Attached please find the zip file of my log folder.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Russ

According to your log file FSUIPC is NOT running. Remember, FSUIPC does not start automatically as it used to with previous versions of FS (FS9/FSX/P3D) as it's now a standalone program that you have to run. When installing it you can choose to create a startup icon that will start FS and FSUIPC together.

Mine starts automatically, I think there's a switch or an option you have to use with FSUIPC7 to get it to load with MSFS.

OK, I figured it out. It was a matter of MSFS Steam version apparently not running as administrator and PF3 running as administrator. Ran them all the same and PF3 connected OK!

Great, thanks for letting us know. And yes, all programs must be running at the same security level otherwise they won't be able to communicate.
