Using V5.1 of P3D I tried a flight from EHAM to LIML with co-pilot set to Mode 1. After take off and changing to Departure we had some contact with them before the program stopped responding. The wingtip lights on the main PF3 program page were not flashing. I had received a message to contact Departure and had pushed "0" after confirming the copilot had changed to the correct frequency as displayed in the text window. Then that was the end of ATC for the flight. Can you suggest where I went wrong?
Log files attached.
Thanks in advance

Peter

You weren't tuned to the correct frequency and this is the message you should have seen displayed -
Quote:
2/03/2021 10:04:29 PM: 570 - FS Screen : ComFreq: 125.75 <> ClearanceFreq: 121.97
So you tuned to 125.75 but Clearance frequency was 121.97

Just checked and the Co Pilot settings were for him to handle the frequency changes. I will dock him a day's pay.

Cheers

I wouldn't because it if went to a tribunal, you'd lose.

Your VCP will handle 'correct' frequency changes when ATC give you another frequency to tune to, but in this case it was the frequency for Clearance that was incorrect... your first facility... so no one had handed you off and/or given you the frequency to tune to. If you want this tuned automatically you can select the option to do so by selecting Options #2, then Advance Options and Ini File Tweaks and under the COMS section 'Auto Tune to initial Facility'
