Hi all,

I'm trying to download the PF3 trial, but having a problem. I've got the bit.ly link, which gives me the pf3_demo_installer.zip file. Unfortunately, when I try to extract it the .bin file it contains creates an error. 7-zip calls it a "data error" and the native windows zip app calls it an unspecified error. I tried downloading and extracting with anti-virus off and also with WinRAR, but no joy.

Any ideas on what else I can try?

Many thanks,
Brendan

How strange! Just tried it here with 7-Zip version 19.0 and Winzip version 11.2, both worked fine.

Could you let me see a screen shot of the error please?

Thanks heaps for looking in to this for me, Dave. I forgot to mention that I've tried downloading the file a few times, and using Free Download Manager, to eliminate any downloading problems, but there's no difference.

I've attached screenshots of:
- The error from the native Windows unzip
- The error from 7-zip 19.00
- The error when running PF3 install after partial decompression

Also, I downloaded the file on a linux machine hoping to unzip it and then copy to windows for install, but received this:
***************
$ unzip pf3_demo_installer.zip

Archive: pf3_demo_installer.zip
inflating: PF3_DEMO_Installer-1.bin
error: invalid compressed data to inflate
inflating: PF3_DEMO_Installer.exe
inflating: README FIRST.txt
*****************

Thanks again for looking in to it.

Brendan

Please send me an email and I'll send the files unzipped via a WeTransfer link

No matter what I use to download or indeed to extract the demo 'pf3_demo_installer.zip' it will not extract without error.

! C:\Test\pf3_demo_installer.zip: Checksum error in C:\Test\pf3_demo_installer\PF3_DEMO_Installer-1.bin. The file is corrupt
! C:\Test\pf3_demo_installer.zip: The archive is corrupt

Can you help please?
Thank you.

Just discovered the download file WAS corrupt... must have had a hiccup during the upload. All is well now so please just download again and everything should be okay.

Sorry for the inconvenience
