Hello everyone,

Since using PF3 I have been flying with the PMDG 737NG for FS9 in a somewhat 'sloppy' way, because from the FMC I played four basic things and started flying using .PLN flight plans without loading anything into the plane's FMC.

Now that I have time to spare, I have decided to learn how to use the PMDG FMC, I use Flight Sim Commander to generate flight plans in .pln and .rte formats

FSC and PMDG have exactly the same AIRAC.

The doubt now arises:

Is it possible to load in PF3 the flight plan (.pln) generated by FSC and in the FMC the plan (.rte) also generated by FSC to make a complete flight using the aircraft's FMC and that the PF3 ATC monitor that route ?

I know it is a bit messy and any idea would be useful to me.

Thank you in advance, and I hope that all members of the user community and the OnCourse Software team are feeling well and in high spirits.

A greeting.

As you say you should be able to use FS Commander to export the flight plan in .rte and .pln formats. This should work fine for most of the route but be careful about waypoints that are close to the airport. For the PF3 flight plan your last waypoint should be at least 20 miles from the destination airport. If your FSC flight plan has waypoints that are very close to the airport (for example, if you have loaded an approach to be flown by your FMC) you will want to manually edit the .pln file to remove waypoints that are too close to the airport. When you reach the last waypoint of the PF3 flight plan (.pln file) you can get clearance from PF3 to fly the approach at pilot's discretion and you can then have the FMC handle the rest of the approach, if that is what you want.

Thank you very much Dave.

And I apologize for the delay in answering you, as I have been quite busy for the past week.
