Just re-installed PF3 on my computer with a new hard drive.
I am using FSX-SE on windows 10
The knee board doesn't open up when I activate PF3 like it used to, but it does put all the ATC frequencies in the knee board.

My real problem is when I tune to ATIS PF# locks up and goes into Error.
I have submitted two errors on this today.

I also tried contacting ground, and PF3 played the chime and then locked up.

Any thoughts would be great. I enjoy this software it has always been a bit tricky to get it running again.
I think this is the third time I have installed it since I bought it years ago.
In health
Michael

Please zip all the log files in your PF3\Logs folder and attach them to your post, without the logs I have no idea what could be occurring.

You say you've reported this twice today but I haven't received any emails from you.

HI Dave
attached is logs
So I can connect PF3 to FSX-SE
PF3 doesn't lock or stop use of the "`" key like it used to. I cannot reply manualy.
When I contact ground there is no voices, but text comes up correctly.
VCP responds with no sound and changes Frequency.
When I tune to ATIS that is when PF3 locks up all together.

my FSX software
I am using Steam but didn't have issues before this complete reinstall of all FSX
FSX is in defalt folders under "program files (x86)
PF3 is not
I am also using "active sky" and was before this, but back in 2018 I installed PF3 before active sky. this time I did it the other way.
Active sky voices come through fine as well as FSX default ATC.
Let me know what else I can try.
I installed FSuipc4.9 and activated it.

Error message from the log is
Quote:
Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.DirectX.DirectSound
So I would suggest you download and install the DirectX runtimes from the link on our FAQ page (second item down)

Thanks Dave that fixed that issue.

How When I hit the (`) Key to read back what PF3-ATC told me it just opens the default FSX-ATC window.

I have default ATC set to off and the voice sound turned off and set a 0.

How do I make this key work?
I looked closer in the Q&As this time and didn't see anything like this.

Thanks
Michael

Why use that key? The default 'Roger' key in PF3 is Ctrl+Shift+\
