This may not actually have anything to do directly with OCS but I'm asking for help if you can anyway.

Just lately during flights, the co-pilot and ATC voices sound ok to start with but then, about threequarters through the flight the voices get very faint and in the end I have to read the instructions and replies.

Strangely, when I've landed. the sound level of the voice giving me directions to parking is fine.

Has anyone any idea what could be the problem and more to the point, how to overcome it please?

I had this in the past, too. This is Windows thinking that the ATC voices are some sort of telephony.
Solution for me was to right-click on the speaker icon in the tray, click on Sounds, select the "Communications" tab and change "When Windows detects communications activity:" from "Reduce the volume ..." to "Do nothing".

Thanks Thomas

I've made the alteration and hope it will fix it. That'll be to-morrow now though. It's getting close to my dinner time.

And Dave, if your hearing aid is as good as mine, You'll hear better without it!!! Cheeky err whatsit.

Yes, thanks Thomas. That cured it. I had forgotten I had turned the sound up. Nearly blasted my ears off before I got it adjusted!
