Automatic Update fails

When the update function runs itself or I run it the update fails.

The log says "AutoUpdates FAILED in 'GetControlFile' with Err: 339 Desc: Component 'msinet.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid"

I have registered the file and it is in the correct directory. I'm running Windows 10 64 bit.

any ideas would be appreciated. Is there another way to get updates?
