Hi Dave:

I had to reinstall PF3 from my original 3.0 saved file (since there is no obvious way to download the latest version) on a clean version of Windows 10 (latest build). However, the automatic update version is not working and locks up at 0% after about 10 minutes and the updater crashes. I have tried disabling anti-virus, and my Windows firewall is always off. I've also tried rebooting, running the program as administrator, and even running it in compatibility modes. All have the same result.

Any chance there is a link to download 3.5 directly?

Thanks, and I hope all is well with you.

Mike T.

Please zip and attach any log files from your PF3/updates folder

Dave,
I had this issue around V 3.2 and it was cured when I downloaded one of the beta updates just after V3.4 I think) I know of another user also had the same issue a few months ago.
I'm wondering if re-installing Windows 10 is not updating or installing some system files as it should.
I went onto the windows 10 upgrade/insider programme from Microsoft because windows had suddenly stopped updating itself.
This now seems to have fixed Windows issues as it partially rebuilds Windows 10 OS, this could have been just coincidence as it was about the same time that PF3 refused to update itself after 3.2.

Mike,i strongly recommend downloading Windows 10 upgrade/insider from Microsoft's site,i had issues with Windows 10 not updating itself, see if that cures your issue with PF3.

Dave M. - Will do as soon as I get in this afternoon.

Dave L - Thanks for the advice - I made sure Win 10 had fully upgraded to all patches through yesterday and have it set up to auto update. I have turned off my Windows Insider downloads on my FS rig to avoid any issues I've had with PF3 in the past (GUI crashing, etc). So its a clean and fully patched install.
