Hi

I recently purchased PF3 but I have had no luck of using it. First problem appeared when I tried to rebuild database. I click all the boxes and start process. It begins with the text 'Saving User data' but then my system freezes. I have reinstalled PF3 several times but had no luck...

EDIT: Windows 10 64bit and correction, my system doesn't freeze but PF3 does.

Did yo install PF3 into your C:\Program Files folder?

Are you running PF3 as Admin?

How long does it take for this error to display?

Which FS are you using?

Hi

Running as admin and I have installed PF3 on different location than C:\Program Files. It can take over night and there is no error or anything, it just freezes on that first screen. Sim is P3D V3.

Just a little offering that may or may not be any help.

I have found the update often fails at that point if PF3 has been open beforehand (although in my case I am Windows 7/FS2004). Try shutting down and restarting PF3 afresh and then updating the database.

Apologies if this turns out to be a red herring.

John

It used to be like that with PFE. But it's always good practice to update a "freshly" opened PF3 anyway.

Try again and post your logs.
Now it freezes at the beginning of database rebuild and only text I see is 'Saving User Data'. Only log is 'startup'...
