Hi

I'm trying to use with PFE to X Plane plugin.

I get the following error message
Connect error 429 240

Active x component can't create object

When I try and connect to the sim after loading flight plan. It recommends I run PF3_register but I don't have that executable anywhere.

Works ok with FSX as far as I know, not tried for a bit

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Paul

Chances are your anti virus has removed the pf3_register.exe file which should be in your main PF3 folder... Perhaps you could check?

Hi Dave,

The file isn't there. I don't know why its been removed, it isn't in my AV quarantine though.

Thanks,
Paul

Here you go, just unzip the attached into your main PF3 folder. Chances are though if it was your AV it's removed some other files too so I would also suggest running the PF3 Validation check

Hi Dave,

Thanks for that. I have unzipped to PF3 folder and run it (although nothing seems to happen when I do) and also run the validate routine which indicated that all necessary files were present and correct but I still get the same error message.

Thanks,
Paul

You must run it as Administrator.

The unregistered file is PFE_Net.dll which SHOULD be in your main PF3 folder... is that there?

Hi Dave,

I run PF3_Register as Admin and nothing seems to happen after it asks me permissions to make changes to computer as per admin , I'm not prompted to do anything else.

No, PFE_Net.dll is not present anywhere within my PF3 folder

Thanks for your help with this, we'll get there in the end!

Paul
