I don't know if this is affecting only me, but 99% of times I am vectored very close to the final approach course (if not right to or even overshooting slightly it) before given the clearance to the ILS. Usually controllers clear you a fair time before the autopilot captures the localizer. My settings are FAF altitude 4000 FAF Distance 15. Or 3000 and 11, this is a minimum distance to intercept the final course (2 miles) and then descend on a 3 degree glide slope.
