Good Day everyone!

I was just wondering if there is to be any expected issues with PF3 running with P3Dv4? I know it might be slightly hard to answer as it's yet to be released. I'm just trying to get an idea of what might stop working if I upgrade.

Yes, it won't have a chance to work until FSUIPC(4 or 5?) will work with P3Dv4.

I have investigated how difficult it would be to convert FSUIPC to 64-bit, and it is definitely doable if and when necessary, at least as far as the program interface is concerned.

I'd be less sure about some of the user facilities. To start with I'd probably discard all the weather fiddling stuff in the options, which are largely redundant these days with programs like Active Sky, Opus, and so on doing all these things much better.
So maybe there will be a new FSUIPC with 64bit.

Pete's under no pressure at all  But don't expect anything from him re FSW.

That's great news that Petes making a new version, and it's brilliant that I'll be able to use PF3 with V4.

Exciting times :)

Disclaimer:
- FSUIPC5 will only be available later, because Pete still sees issues and missing features in P3Dv4 that needs to be solved first.
- I would assume that applications using FSUIPC5 would need to be adjusted in some way or another. Will there be a 32bit interface, or will applications need to be ported to 64bit, too?

Just a noter of caution.

I know someone who's got P3Dv4 and he says it washes out colours so you need to adjust the colour on your screen. No good if you have to keep changing them backwards and forwards for a decent screen when not simming or doing photography. So beware if you iuse your equipment for things other than flight simming.

Anyone have any luck getting PF3 working P3dv4? I have FSUIPC5 installed. Radar contact works perfectly in P3dv4. PF3 still working in P3dV3. Here is the startup log I got trying to start PF3:
