Hi Dave (and team) - New computer...been working fine with PF3 for the past few days and now all the sudden it won't acknowledge keyboard presses.

My flow which has led to the problem...2 flights in a row now: Preflight planning to edit the Simbrief flight plan. Prior to kicking off MSFS i have A Pilots Life 2 running, PF3, AIFlow and AIGround, and FSLTL. I launch MSFS and get my flight started. I board pax (GSX) while doing preflight procedures. Listen to ATC (no problem)...I hear the AI traffic call for clearances (no problem). And when I press "0" to request my IFR clearance...nothing. Try other buttons...nothing. Still hear AI...it's just not talking to me...or rather it doesn't appear to be responding to my keyboard input.

What's changed since the last successful PF3 flight? A few MSFS Sim updates for scenery that I hadn't previously downloaded. And I installed FSRealistic Pro but it wasn't running at the time.

Logs attached...i guess we're just looking to confirm that it is or is not seeing my key press. I did restart the computer between flights today to rule that out - no change.

Thanks in advance.
Cheers, mike

Hello to all,
I encountered the same problem at the end of last week. After a more in-depth investigation of my MSFS-related programmes, I realised that the problem had arisen from the update of the FSUPIC programme, which I had run without first deactivating my antivirus software.
So I uninstalled FSUIPC completely, restarted my computer, downloaded and reinstalled the latest version of the program with my antivirus deactivated. And since then PF3 has responded correctly to my keyboard commands again.
Kind regards

Michael

Hi everyone,
The problem of commands not reacting via keyboard keys has suddenly reappeared.
It's impossible to pinpoint the source of the problem.
I'm attaching the log files for your convenience.
Kind regards,

Michael

Have you tried with a previous version of FSUIPC? I won't be able to get to my FS pc until at least Thursday this week so am unable to try it myself. But according to the log file yo never pressed any hotkeys. So, if you did, it means FSUIPC has not recognised them

I then continued my investigations, which revealed that windows security had automatically quarantined the win32/Phonzy.B!ml element as trojan. This element initially related to the executable file FS_Addons\PF3\CM.exe. After restoring this item, things are running normally again... fingers crossed...
Kind regards
Michael

That's weird. It's obviously a false positive but cm.exe had absolutely nothing to do with hotkeys in PF3. CM.exe is our conflict manager that only runs whilst you're taxiing IF you have it set to in the pf3 options.

Same problem here after I updated FSUIPC and PF3 to the newest versions on Monday. Reverting FSUIPC back to version 7.4.6 (that is my last backup version) seems to have solved the problem with the hotkeys. No file in antivirus-quarantine.

I regressed back to FSUIPC v7.4.8 and everything is fine. Recommend that as an interim fix until a definitive fix is available.

Dave - if provided the option to upload larger .zip files I can upload the 7.4.8 version so everyone has the chance to get "the last known working" version for the time being. It's a 39MB file.

If you send it to me via WeTransfer or something similar I'll upload it and post a link
