I think I'm getting the hang of this but...

On the logged flight from EGBB to EGHI I was approaching EGHI with wind (from ASN) at approx 330 and 10kts but was given clearance to ILS 20. I tried to select a new runway (02) more aligned with wind but was met with silence? What have ai done wrong? Help appreciated.

Controller was having a bad day that's why he ignored you...

I take it you pressed CTRL+SHIFT+W and nothing happened?

Yep, nothing. I'm using remote text and PF3 display BTW

I think you must have attached the wrong log because you didn't use Ctrl+Shift+W at all in this log. ;)

Oh, has it logged if I used the wrong hotkey? I think I also tried 'W' that was an option on PF3 Display when in contact with tower?

Are all the options currently in the pf3_disp.dat still valid? This can be quite misleading when using pf3 display.

Yes...all key presses are logged so it tells us what you have done or not.
If you are running a dual monitor setup then i suggest you use the PF3 Displayer, are you trying to look at 2 things at one go hence the misleading quote!

Do you happen to have the Aerosoft Airbus X installed? Or anything else that uses VistaMare?
So for me it also didn't work but I realized that in the Add-Ons menu (press ALT if you are in full screen) there's a VistaMare option that has a Key-assignments suboption and it used ctrl+shift+w to change the panel windows I believe.
So I changed the PF3 hotkey and it started working ... Probably you can also change the VistaMare Hotkey and it would solve it.
Maybe this helps.

Best,

David

It does sound like a clash of hotkeys using same combination, make sure FS and PF3 aren't using same.

Now knowing these key presses weren't registered, I went on a hunt to find out why. Turns out that a module called 'vistamare' (wish I'd seen the earlier post sooner:-)) which is installed as part of FSDreamteam scenery was capturing Ctrl+Shift+W for a function that has never been used. Changed that assignment and now the request gets through to PF3.
