hello,

I just installed PFE3 and updated it to 3.1.7.
Thus far, I have not been able to compile/process a single flightplan. The "Processing flight plan screen keeps on running". I can make it go away by double clicking, but afterwards the PFE program is unclickable. My flightplans are created with PFPX in the .pln format and used to work in the old PFE. As I read in the manual that this process should only take seconds, I guess something is seriously wrong.
So I followed a few tips from this forum, the last one was reinstall with AV turned off, but no avail...

What should I do?

Kind regards,

Stroman

If you continue to get PF3 closing when hitting buttons intermittently you will probably have to turn SKINS off, as some users do experience these problems with the skinning application.

With regard to your flight plan problems please attach you flight plan here so I can check it out.

Regarding the Close problem: I have this myself with most of the themes, unless I disable skins in the advanced options (as Dave recommends)

Loading the flight plan might work after running PF3_Register.exe in the PF3 directory, which should happen during installion and upgrades, but sometimes needs to be done again.

Hi Dave,

I have turned skins off now. But after a rebuild of the PFE database, again immediately CTD...

In attach two flightplans I tried to compile.

Kind regards,

Stroman

Loads fine for me, did you try PF3_Register? (not rebuild DB)

Hi,

Yes I did, but nothing seems to happen and result is the same...
Anyone know what skincrafter2.dll does?

Regards

Yes it's what we use for skinning the application but provided you have turned skins off correctly then it will not be used and you will not have the initial problem you described.

Hi Dave,

Correct, I did not turn off the skins correctly. Now I did and the CTD problem is solved.
The FP processing problem remains however.

Kind regards
