I was doing a simple VOR to VOR plan from KLAX to KNKX as my first flight. All went well until I was handed off to approach. I was at 8000 feet and rapidly approaching KNKX. I used the '9' hotkey to report my position and to my surprise the report stated I was 89 miles from KNKX even though I was within 5 miles! Distances just increased as I went overhead and passed to the south? I was tracking my position on PlanG and FSC9 not to mention RXP530. Everything else knew where I was?

It's no wonder I wasn't getting descent instructions if it didn't know where I was. Help.

Cheers

Tony, I've just reported this exact same bug in the Beta forum following my own experience earlier, so Dave'll get to it fairly sharpish.

What may help (now and in the future) would be if you'd be kind enough to attach your flight logs here so that Dave can get to see the nuts and bolts of the flight and find out where the fault may be - thank-you ;)

Tried another flight this time in the UK between EGFF - EGBJ - EGBB - EGNX but still nothing after contact with approach, on position reports it identifies the destination correctly but appears to report the distance from the origin? If that's where it thinks it is internally then I'll never land anywhere so this seems completley broken?
