I'm not sure if my setting are wrong or not. I would like vectors to get me set up with an ils approach. When I decline the visual approach I get a response saying standby. Then I get a response unable to comply. I'm flying into jfk. What I would like is to get vectors so I'm lined up with the runway and not have to do a visual approach. Any ideas?

Let me make this more clear. I know I can tune in the ils frequency but what I would like to have happen is to get vectors to finals so the runway is directly in front me miles out. It used to do that. So I Uninstalled and reinstalled the program. Will give it another go tomorrow and see what happens. I'm not really looking for ultra realistic flying here. I like to take off and us the AP and have the aircraft autoland or have it get vectors to final and save the flight that way I can practice landings with different AC and weather conditions.

Judging from your signature It's clear that you are trying to fly the a/c from the rear galley so that may be your problem!

Are you using SIDs/STARs and are they checked in your fpl adjustment page? Unchecking the ST should allow vectors to final.
Recreate the flight again and if the problem persists att ach a log to your next post. If everything is fine then post that too so others can see how you fixed it.

It used to do that.
Then I think you must have changed something, probably as vololiberista suggested

I tried flying from the aft galley. It never worked. I jump seated in the flight deck a few, times on a dc9 when ferrying the ac with no pax. That was awesome. Especially when landing at night.

I am not using sid's or stars. I will try it again today and get back to you. Thank you.
