PF3 has just signed a contract to provide ATC services for China

Here are a series of videos showing a flight from ZJSY Sanya Hainan to VHHX Hong Kong Kai Tak.
The first, a late evening departure featuring pre-flight checks, fuel uplift and PF3 ATC departing via the GIVIL 2D SID to 7,000ft and then cleared to FL240 for the cruise.

The second in the cruise transiting from day to night with some light chop and initial descent to FL160.

The final video shows the entry to the published hold at Cheung Chau. Three circuits including the parallel entry procedure. All turns are manual via the heading bug and pass over the "Cone of Silence". Then a turn onto the localiser for the IGS approach and a gentle turn to line up with the runway. HERE

Thanks Dave :D Despite what the media says it was never a "difficult" landing! Though it was "interesting" when there was a strong crosswind!!

Thanks :) In the old BOAC (Umm I mean Boeing Only Aircraft Corporation) days they used to call that the bus stop route. Hong Kong to London! People used to commute literally.

I was lucky enough to fly that approach as a passenger back in 1997 on a stopover from Australia... we had a right hand window seat too :D

Yes it's quite fun in real life. One only needed to worry if soon after landing the crew came back into the cabin asking "Does this washing belong to anyone?!"
