Hi!

First of all, thanks for this nice application, really helps to make the sim even more immersive.

Two issues I´ve encountered:
1. the program doesn´t like flightplans generated by onlineflightplanner. I get an "FPP Error!". This usually is rectified by opening and saving it within the flightsim and then loading it again into PF3. Perhaps the output format of onlineflightplanned fpl files is slightly different and PF3 does not like them.

2. the more serious issue: I can´t seem to load flightplans from auckland, nz, to ancorage, Alaska, or san diego. PF3 gives me a "GenerateFlightProfile Error!". Originally this also was onlineflightplanned but I also tried to load a FS generated plan, but no avail... What might be the issue? Too long flight? the international date line? Can´t be too many waypoints as the fs generated plan has less than 20...

Any suggestions are apprechiated!

Best

Matthias

Auntie EDITH says: Should´ve read all the other posts, too. The 180° meridian (or reputed date line) issue apparently is identified and to be fixed tomorrow. Sorry about that!! ;)

Please attach such a flight plan (in a .zip) so Dave can take a look at it.
(and your auntie and you already found out about 2. :))

Hi and thanks for the quick reply!

Enclosed is the zip file with two identical flightplans; the one that has "Kopie" in its name is the original one by onlineflightplanner.org, the other one the same file loaded into p3d with cruise altitude changed and then saved. Basically it is visible that the originally downloaded one is just more or less running text, whereas the p3d-saved version has the, for lack of better wording, indented, step/stair-like structure. I suppose those formatting differences may be the culprit.

Best,

Matthias

PS: Gonna postpone that transpac flight until tomorrow and try out the fix. Your trick with inserting a waypoint at the other side of the world gave me so many xx´s that I was no more able to plan a STAR because the window won´t show more than 50 waypoints and I have no idea how to display the remaining ones

Just click on the NEXT button.

I believe you already sent me a flight plan, if not someone else did and it works just fine here... but then I'm using 3.0.2 :D Won't be long now ;)

Wow, I never noticed that one, but I can confirm that it works with my test flight plan, which has 116 waypoints (including the many XXX waypoints)

Hi!
The NEXT button then... I kind of should have had that idea myself. Didn´t see the wood for the trees (or waypoints) or simply forgot to use my brain there... happens...
Anyway, thanks for resolving that :D

Best

Matthias
