Hi there
I've compiled 2 flight plans for KDFW to RJAA-one using default P3D planner and one with FSCommander.
Neither are opened by PF3.
Can you help please?
I've zipped both of them to the same attached file.
Thanks
Jay

I can reproduce the problem, it seems to happen when crossing the 180th meridian:
        <ATCWaypoint id="PINTT">
            <ATCWaypointType>Intersection</ATCWaypointType>
            <WorldPosition>N56° 43' 1.99",W176° 18' 26.00",+000000.00</WorldPosition>
            <ATCAirway>G469</ATCAirway>
            <ICAO>
                <ICAORegion>KK</ICAORegion>
                <ICAOIdent>PINTT</ICAOIdent>
            </ICAO>
        </ATCWaypoint>
        <ATCWaypoint id="ONEIL">
            <ATCWaypointType>Intersection</ATCWaypointType>
            <WorldPosition>N54° 12' 8.00",E172° 40' 50.00",+000000.00</WorldPosition>
            <ATCAirway>G469</ATCAirway>
            <ICAO>
                <ICAORegion>KK</ICAORegion>
                <ICAOIdent>ONEIL</ICAOIdent>
            </ICAO>
        </ATCWaypoint>
Dave needs to fix this.

Until then you might try a workaround: Add a waypoint on the other side of the world (I tested it with MAG in Germany) between them:
    <ATCWaypoint id="MAG">
      <ATCWaypointType>VOR</ATCWaypointType>
      <WorldPosition>N51° 59' 42.00",E11° 47' 39.50",+000000.00</WorldPosition>
      <ICAO>
        <ICAOIdent>MAG</ICAOIdent>
      </ICAO>
    </ATCWaypoint>
When you reach PINTT, try requesting a direct (or warp) to ONEIL.

Edit: You will see many XXX waypoints between them where you cross the center boundaries. I haven't tested how many these are. If in doubt, wait for a fix from Dave :)

I think that could be the problem as I was also not able to recreate the fpl in FS9 either. FS9 created a valid fpl but it was rejected by PF3. I would imagine for the same reason!
Dave will sort it. Don't worry.

Thomas is correct, rather than stepping over the 180th meridian going westward the routine hit a brick wall and doubled back on itself!

This will be fixed as soon as possible and should be in the next maintenance release.

PF2K didn't handle it either, but it never raised it's ugly head!

Thanks guys
Does the 180th meridian refer only to transoceanic flights?
Cheers

As there is a bit of land crossing the 180th meridian -- the very eastern part of Russia (or is it already western? :)), the Arctic, Fiji islands (either island-hopping or on Taveuni) -- I have to answer "no", but usually "yes" (and then only trans-pacific flights)

Seeing as the 180 meridian i.e. the International date line is in the Pacific proably yes. Only Dave knows whether PF3 takes it as an arbitary straight line or whether the real date line is computed. Anyway it was a good spot. Thanks for that. Things like this always help to make PF3 a better programme. So I know it's going to be expensive but put your passengers up in a nice hotel for the time being and when Dave has sorted it he'll do an update to PF3.

Thomas I don't know whether PF3 recognises just the meridian or the date line. Probably the former in which case you're correct

The date line is "completely" unrelated to this :)

Update

This problem has now been fixed and will be in the next maintenance release scheduled for Friday 19/02/16, or 02/19/16 if you talk funny!

That was a JOKE by the way! :lol: Not the bit about the fix though! :shock:
