Isn't 4 miles much too close? Every flight I had so far vectored me way too high and way too close to the runway.

Last waypoint of the FP is more than 15 miles away, btw.

Am I missing something? ANy recommendations? Every flight until the approach is picture perfect, then all the trouble starts.

Everything is configurable on options#1 screen,so if you don't like the distance then change it to your preference..

Sending right now. But 4 miles was the default when I opened the options.

What would you suggest for these FAF values (height, distance) under ini-Settings?

you mean options #2 (that's where the FAF values are set)?
I know, but I thought the 4miles default were there for a reason, not to cause constant troubles :-)

Which values do you have there?

My setting is 7 to 10 on the distance. Altitude is pulled off the approach chart and varies between airports and runways.

If you listen to live atc they vector them in about 5 miles from the outer marker on most approaches. U

If you expect to capture the glideslope 3,000 agl assuming a 3deg glideslope then 7nm should be ok.

My FAF Distance setting is 7 and I never changed it.
And an unchanged copy of the PF3.ini directly after installing PF3 3.0 has the line "FAFDist=7" in it.
Additionally the help popup mentions 7 as the default, so I'm pretty sure it is the default ;)

Well, at least on my system (Win10, P3D) there is no help popup when I click the question mark :-)
