Sounds like an interesting setup!

(I tried to attach the log file, but I get "the extension log is not allowed")
Please create a zip archive (e.g. using 7zip) of the logs and attach that.

Which Windows version do you have?

Nothing usable in the log (maybe except for the fact that it aborts very early), but I suspect the Windows 10 update having something to do with it.

Do you use P3D? Then maybe an update to the latest FSUIPC can help.

This is caused by one of the PF3 support files not being correctly register. Please try running the PF3_Register.exe (right-click and run as administrator) from your main PF3 folder. If that doesn't help I would suggest a complete reinstall and ensure you stop all other programs when doing so, especially your AV and any other security type programs you might be running. Make sure you are running as Admin too during the install

Please let is know how you get on

Thanks for the quick reaction.
PF3-Register.exe didn't do the trick and neither did reinstalling. I installed the demo on an other client PC (this one is hardwired in the network, the first one wireless) and now I can connect to P3D via WideFS. But after that nothing happens. No sound and no contact with the controller (see debug-monitor2). Next thing I tried is installing the demo on my P3D server PC. Connection is OK, but now P3D 3.4 crashes as soon as I switch to the ATIS frequency (see debug-monitor). What I will try this evening is updating FSUIPC (I'm currently on 4 4.92). Maybe you have other suggestions, seeing both log files.

Thanks in advance. Reading the user guide I think the program will suit my needs better then PRO-ATC which I use now. PF3 is much more flexibel.

Both logs show an issue, the second log shows you have some DirectX files missing.

I installed the DirectX april 2006 version and the latest FSUIPC (which caused P3D to black out!, solved by reinstalling). The networked installation connects to the simulator (according to the FSUIPC display), but still gives no sound. When I install and start PF3 from my P3D server it seems to work, but the sound coming from the simulator (engines etc) seems to have changed too.
I need to run PF3 from a client PC. I am one step further, but not operational yet. Any further suggestions?

Thanks,

Fedor

This is the same problem and it's due to you having some missing DirectX files on that client.

The message reads:-
Quote:
error: -2147024894 - Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.DirectX.DirectSound, Version=1.0.2902.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. - Loc: 1400
If you download the MS install (from the first item on our website FAQ page) and run it as Admin it should rectifiy the problem.
