Hi,
I've come back to FDC after a long gap (stupid me), and am really enjoying it once more.

I've got a very poor memory these days, and seem to remember a friendly stewardess offering me coffee in the past.
Has anyone uploaded some varied announcements to liven up the hours in cruise? I know the user can record his/her own, but I don't want to hear my own voice and have no volunteers.

Hopefully, Jim

Have you tried searching the avsim file library?

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the suggestion. I've trawled the libraries of both Avsim and Flightsim and found a few useful sound files. Trouble is the moment I got back into FDC and heard the voices again, into my old head came a vivid sound, just a scrap, "Coffee, Captain?" I'd even recognise the accent anywhere!!

It's very frustrating but can't be helped. I've searched my own archives without success, and they date back to the nineteen nineties!
Thanks again for FDC. It has once again brought my flights to life.

Cheers, Jim

Hi again,

I've now installed a few Announcements, but had a few problems during a short flight tonight.

Could someone confirm the hotkeys for playing these files please?

I've been using Ctrl+\+A i.e. Control+Backslash+A (A,B,C, etc. for successive files)

Apologies for my lack of understanding, Jim

Yes they are the correct hotkeys to use but remember you press and hold the Ctrl+\ key then press and release the A, B C, etc key before releasing the Ctrl+\ combination
