| ong story short-new computer-broken FDC installation disc-repurchased FDC download from Aerosoft and installed in new computer. When starting FDC get error 2147221164 Class not registered in "SetupDirectsoundroutine" and FDC stops. Logs attached |

| A couple of things to mention/try... 1. Do NOT install into your C:\Program Files folder 2. Download and install the latest cumulative updates package from this forum 3. Install the DirectX for Managed Code runtimes... you can download and install from HERE |

| Tried your suggestions to no avail. Uninstalled FDC and both FSUIPCs and tried again. Same error code 2147221164. Has to do with sound on FSUIPC 3.9999 I believe, but I can't find the problem. |

| Are you installing as admin? Also ensure you stop all other programs during the install, especially your AV and then configure it to leave the FDC install alone |

| Finally-SUCCESS!!! After all this time FDC installed correctly and I am happy once again. PFE wasn't the same without FDC. (No-I have no idea what changed-sometimes shit just happens!) |
