In VCP options..."VCP Corrects any interactive checklist item, not set correctly, during checklist calls. (No longer used!)"

The box is checked but VCP does no corrections...

2. FIXED - The VCP-X interactive checklist configuration toggle option in the
VCP-X options was labelled incorrectly and this switch is now defunct. To turn
Interactive Checklists off you use the master switch on the Select Aircraft
page, next to the Interactive Checklist time delay option.

this is done in the Checklist Editor

from the manual :

Interactive checklist calls
The second column in the Voice Selection panel indicates whether the checklist call is interactive or not. If an Y(es) appears, the call is interactive. The checklist item will be checked in Flight Simulator for the correct setting. If the setting is wrong, a negative response is given. In this case you must correct the item, and resume the checklist by hitting Ctrl-Space on your keyboard.

You can turn off all checklist interactivity by turning off the Interactive Checklist Master Switch on the Select Aircraft options panel.

Note! If you change the reply for an interactive checklist call, this single call will not be checked in Flight Simulator anymore. However, this doesn't affect the other interactive calls in your checklist.

Note! The interactive checklist feature is not available in Flight Simulator 98! All calls will be audible, but their settings will not be checked.

Of course there are some third party aircraft where FDC is unable to interact with ALL switches. Try it on a stock aircraft, if it works there's no problem. In fact I can safely say there is NO problem. FDC is now in its 14th year and whilst I'm not saying it is bug free (I don't think there is any software that is), things like interactive checklists have been well tried over the years.
