Hi, I've been using FDC some time now with FSX but have just moved to P3Dv2.2 which I adore :) All my addon scenery (FTX,ORBIX, Aerosoft etc) + Active Sky Next, Rex Direct, EZDOK & aircraft are all working fine however now I've installed FDC 2011v3.14a (via the latest version of Estonia's payware migration tool) whenever I try to connect to P3D I get the following error message.......

Run-time error'372' Failed to load control 'TinyProfileCMD' from FDC_BU~1.OCX. Your version of FDC_BU~1.OCX may be outdated. Make sure you are using the version of thhe control that was provided with you application.

TinyProfileCMD changes to LargeProfileCMD dependent on the aircraft I select.

Can anyone help please?.....I uninstalled the FSX Version of FDC 1st & ran RegClean before doing the P3D FDC install which all seemed fine :| I'm totally stumped now :?
Many thanks.

Sounds like the migration tool didn't install everything correctly.

FDC_Buttons.OCX should be in your Windows\System32 folder

Hi Dave, Thanks for the reply & info. I checked this out & whether I install FDC into FSX or P3D that file appears in Windows\SysWOW64 in both cases.....I assume cos I'm running Windows 7 64 bit (sorry I should have told you that  ). Any further ideas?
Many thanks, Neil

Sounds like the migration installer didn't register the files correctly. Since FDC worked fine before why not reinstall it, at least it will add those system files and register them. You can always delete the entire FDC folder after if you need to save disk space. Failing that you will have to manually register the files... using command mode from the windows/sysWow64 folder and the regsvr32 fdc_duttons.ocx command.

Hi Dave,

Tried both options (regsvr32 confirmed registration btw) but still the same error msg in P3D  Am I in a no win situation here :?: Sorry to be such a pain but I just don't know what to try next....if there is anything else to try :( If so it's a great shame cos I love FDC - it's added so much to my simming experience!

Many thanks again, Neil

Just had a scan through the manual, have you tried to run it in Legacy mode, this is for older addons.
I don't use P3D tool so i'm only quoting from the manual.
You may need to also contact there support services for further info, they may have an answer for you,if you have done the above then ignore this post.
