Hi,

if you own a windows version that uses the dot as the standard decimal separator (e.g. the german version) NEVER start PFE before you have imported the flight plan in AS2012. Otherwise you will get wrong distances between the waypoints in the AS2012 flight plan and also the calculated average wind component will be wrong.

The reason seems to be that PFE changes the settings of the decimal separator (and the symbol for grouping numbers). I've verified this behavior by changing the setting of the decimal separator in der control panel without running PFE and the result was that I also get wrong distances in the AS2012 flight plan.

If you first start AS2012 and import the flight plan in AS2012 and then start PFE, the calculation of the distances between the waypoints and the average wind componente in AS2012 are correct.

Just want to let know this.

Regards
Wolfgang
