Do any of your installations install bewisereg.exe into the system32 directory of XP?

I believe it was installed in one of the quite old versions of PFE, I remember Dave saying something about it on the old AVSIM forum, it was something to do with the installer I think. Dave will be able to answer the question with more authority, it's nothing to worry about though.

The trouble is almost every virus checker picks it up. If it can be confirmed not to be a trojan then I'll tell my virus checker to ignore it. I was doing a defrag analysis which literally "unearthed" it!

No it is NOT a trojan and neither is it used now so you can even delete any bewise*.* files
