Can somebody please recommend a flight planner to use with PFE Deluxe.? I'm using the FSX default one at the moment. What are the advantages with a dedicated one like FSBuild? I like to fly the big jets world wide.

Cheers

FSBuild is the best. Advantages? too many to mention. Can't even talk about realistic and the FSX planner on the same day.

some main points
- realistic IFR routes
- " fuel planning that takes into accout winds, weights, altitude, step climbs..
- " printable navlog
- multiple export formats to different addon planes

I use FS Build aswell and do most of the guys on here.
I compile the flightplan and then let PFE do the rest,

As I only fly the USA, I found the FS9 FlightPlanner acceptible...I did install FSBuild and found it to work OK also..
The question I would ask is "Does FSBuild update Routes"

I purchased a complete set of Jeppesen Low-Enroute charts and found serious differences (in Colorado) between FSBuild and Jeppesen...Obviously the version I had of FSBuild was not up todate..Of course neither would FS9 be up todate..

And I understand that users most likely will not subscribe to Jeppesen for use with PFE...

FSBuild navdata updates are available free from it's website.

Also instead of autogenerating, you can manually copypaste in any route you want, for example from the Routefinder service (also free). http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/ Then just let FSBuild handle the rest, fuel, altitudes and so on.
