After I load my ADV and I go to the FP Adjustment page I cannot select any options without getting a runtime error 91 and this message "Object variable or With block varible not set" If I select Set End of Sid/DP, Set Start of STAR, Allow manual adjustments or the quick entry mode it all ends the same way Runtime error 91 and then it crashes PFE, I can't touch anything in that page at all.

What version of pfe are you running?

2.14 is the current and only supported version.

If you're not on this version please download the cumulative update from this forum and instal it, ensuring you stop all other programs first, especially your anti virus and any other security type programs too

Then you have an installation problem and need to reinstall, ensuring you follow my earlier advice and also avoid installing into c:\program files

I just bought it yesterday, the version is 2.14, Im running it on XP SP3, does the same thing apply for me regarding to not installing it into C: Program files?.

Just to mention also I am using Norton AV and it did take a real hissy fit when I installed PFE, I also read the post about adding PFE to the exclusions, going to try a complete uninstall and shut Norton right down this time.

Hello,
thank you for your quick answer. I have tried to re-install the program:

1) I have administrator rights on my PC;
2) I have Avast antivirus and I disabled it before installation;
3) I have disabled the user account protection in Win7;
4) I installed PFE version 2.14 in the following directory: "C:\Aerosoft\PFE";

But I still have the problem... Runtime Error 91.
Is there any other suggestion?

Bye,
Stefano

Ok nothing is working out, this was my third reinstall and I thought it would be the charm, I uninstalled PFE, I deleted any remain folders, I shut down my anti virus completely, I even went and made exceptions for PFE and all its utilities in my firewall, I reinstalled it (this time kept it out of C:/ProgramFiles), I made an ADV flight, I tried changing any options on that FP Adjustment page and everytime I get the runtime error 91 and that message I posted previously, also I read the manual about the remote text, PFE display and the optional TGS gauge which I wanted to use. None of these programs work, yet the manual implies that its pretty straight forward, If I click on any of the programs the only thing that happens is an ini file appears in the folder, thats it nothing else,(it did write pfe_freqs.dat to my fsx folder) the only one ini that had some options to really configure was the remote text where I entered the IP address of my PC. My PC is XP SP3 Im using Widefs to connect to FSX, my FSX PC is W7 64, I have all the proper shares with the proper permissions, I can't figure out why nothing is working.

Dear dmarch,
I apologize but was my fault! I forgot to check the FAQ...
So, after a brief search in the FAQ I reinstalled PFE in the original directory I used the first time and, after this I launched the file XInstall3.exe in PFE main directory and it fixed the problem!

I hope this could help also MrSpeaker...

Bye,
Stefano
