Good afternon,

I have got a very odd problem. rebuilded the Pfe Database. Now the Problem occours. Everytime I stand at a gate and tune the ATIS Frequency after a while I get a black screen or the aircraft jumps in the sky like a jojo.-).I tried the same situation without PFE it is not happen. I can not imagine what is going on there.-)).

Please let me know what you need to investigate this Problem.

I have FS9 running
it s a E8400 CPU with 4GB RAM
My used os is Windows Vista Home with SP2.
I use FSMETAR together with FS9.
The debug_monitor.log is very short due to crash of the flightsimulator.-)).
Please if you need further information don´t hestitate to contact me.

I wish everybody a nice weekend.-)).

best regards from Germany

Matthias

The short debug_monitor.log might still be useful.
Besides that: What aircraft and which airport?
Do you really use PFE or already PF3? (just to make sure)

You are correct, I can't see anything useful in the log either, just that it works at first and then FS9 disconnects.

The black screen is like a black out from G effects due to the aircraft jumping and spinning around? Or more like a computer not knowing what to display?
Just to make sure: Does FS9 crash or does the aircraft crash?

I ask because I have experienced a strange thing in PF3 when tuning to ATIS of the destination airport while in the air, here in my original wording from a post in another forum:

I still have to track this down, this happened first in April 2016, never before, but never with ATIS on the ground. And it is FSX and PF3, so a bit different from your system.

Good morning Thomas,,

the black screen is not like the computer does not know what to indicate. The monitor gets a signal and my Flightsim crash not only the a/c.If I have a look in the event viewer of windows it shows me that the Fs crashes duet to a module which is unknown.

Very odd because it only happens if I use pfe with standard atc or rc4 it does not happen.
As mentioned I updatet the pfe database but this went without problem.

best regards,

Matthias

Which sceneries did you install that required a database rebuild, or did you just do it to make sure it is up to date?
Can you try using the PF3 demo to see if it behaves the same? (can be installed without uninstalling PFE, both will work, just not at the same time)

Good day,

I had another try. I attach the *.log file to show what is happen.

In the event viewer I have the following entry:
"Faulting application FS9.EXE, version 9.1.0.40901, time stamp 0x4135a208, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp 0x00000000, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x65726964, process id 0xf60, application start time 0x01d1f55137e68239."

hope it helps.
By the way I think I will reinstall PFE. But I don´t find a unistaller. So I am not able to uninstall PFE in a clean way.

best regards,

Matthias

Good day,

the Problem becomes more curious because the same installation of PFE brings at the FSX no Problem and at FS9 it brings the written problem. As soon as I tune the ATIS frequency the Aircraft jumping around. I watched it in the external view at it seems that the aircraft nick to the back and jumps around like a jojo.

any more ideas ?

many greetings

Matthias

Hello Thomas,

I installed the Demo Version of PF3. It works without jumping Aircraft. The Problem seems to be in the connection of PFE and FS9. As described PFE and FSX works.

best regards,

Matthias
