Hello, recently I have been having issues with PFE locks up FSX in flight. It happens sometimes on departure, sometimes enroute and sometimes in arrival. Here are my specs:

FSX w/ Acceleration
PFE 2.15.0
Win 7 64

I made sure that the makerunways is up to date. Here is the last portion of the log file where it froze on me enroute talking to center control, the last line looks suspicious ...

I tried to attach the log file, but it wouldn't let me.

Does FSX freeze or PFE?
You might need to kill PFE if it is still running (possilbly without a visible window) so it can finish writing the log.
zip the log to be able to attach it here.

Just a wild guess which helped me with FSX freezes (unrelated to PFE): Sound card drivers ... I have an on-board RealTek sound card, downloading (and installing) drivers directly from their home page helped.

Well I think the clue is in your very first sentence...

...so one must assume until recently it was working just fine?

I'd somehow doubt that PFE could lock FSX and it probably the other way around, but then I doubt that it's FSX. What about other addons you're using. Maybe something new that you didn't use before when everything (I assume) was working okay?

Hello, thanks for the replies guys. I kept reading and I finally came across the FAQ that mentions FSBUILD exported plans. I was exporting in XML not the older FS9/FSX version.... I just did a few flights with no problems :)

Glad everything seems okay now although I have my doubts that was the cause of the problem.
Thanks for letting us know.
