Ever since I bought PFE I have been trying to work out how to set up the voices in order to avoid getting the same voice for ATC and the pilot, but even when there are a lot of voices to choose from (e.g. German, British, USA..) I often end up with long stretches of flight where the two are the same (which is confusing - and sounds silly!).

Any tips as to how to avoid both pilot and ATC being identical voices? Haven't located anything in the manuals....

Thanks.

Well it certainly shouldn't happen but if it does try switch frequencies... i.e if your currently tune to Control try contacting FSS then go back to Control

I'll try switching frequencies and back.

It is actually, quite a common 'problem'. Is there something in the programme that theoretically should prevent this then?

Best wishes,

Martin

:) Well, that being the case, is there anything I can do to 'help' it to work?

Well, I just had an hour's flight across Mexico where the pilot voice and ATC voice were the same the whole journey (or pretty much). The COM frequencies changed a dozen times at least in that period of course.

There's really no way to set things up so that this doesn't occur? It sounds silly of course and can make it a bit confusing as to who is talking!

Thanks,

M.

You can enable more alternative voices for your region, this worked for me.
