Sids/Stars Page in PFE. This is all detailed in the manual. You will get a lot out of the program if you try and understand how it works by reading the manual.

I'm glad there is an option...but it is not up to pilots to tell ATC the right altitude vectors...its the other way around...why does PFE not know...may I ask...Thanks.

This particular option wasn't intended to emulate the pilot telling ATC anything, it was intended as an aid to help with those more difficult approaches. This information is not readily available from the sim and therefore PFE uses a calculation based on the airport's elevation. It doesn't know about terrain, buildings and other obstacles.

The airport docs give field elevation...but they don't say..."by the way stay at 11,000 ft until 9 miles out or you'll hit "Old Smokey"...

Iv'e been learning this the hardway...but if you say STAR approach will weave me through safely I'm really looking forward to doing that...Thanks again...

Have a look at the minimum sector altitude circles on approach/STAR charts. They tell you exactly that.

Will do...Does FS9 and FSX provide STAR charts? Or do I have to find them on my own...
