Post subject:  Balky TGS gauge problem solved

At least I think it's solved. Rather than adding the gauge to an existing panel window, I created a new window containing just the TGS gaugue. So far this has worked on the four panels I've tried it on...the gauge activates without fail when TGS is activated by PFE. It doesn't seem to matter if the TGS window is configured to be visible on loading, or if it's configured to be toggled on and off. Personally I like the toggle method because I can make the gauge bigger and not have to try and squeeze it into a crowded panel. And since it's only used for a small portion of each flight there's no reason to have it visible all the time. I have it set up so that the same key combination toggles the TGS window on all my panels. Or, it can be toggled using the View/Instrument Panel menu.

I've been experimenting with gauge in sub-panels rather than in main panel itself...hasn't failed to load up once and in different aircraft,so with my findings and SidneySchwartz's findings maybe installing into Main panel as a fixed gauge is pulling on it's resources...just a thought!

Post subject:  TGS Gauge alternate install options

Hi all,
i have installed the gauge into the following aircraft with 100% success rate and here is the completed list so far:-

PMDG 737 NG for FS2004
PMDG 747-400 for FS2004 & FSX
Wilco 737PIC for FS2004 & FSX
Ifly 737 NGX for FS2004
Level D 767 for FS2004 & FSX
PMDG MD11 for FS2004
PSS 777 for FS2004
Flight 1 ATR 72-500 for FSX
Wilco Airbus Evo Vol 1 for FS2004
QW BAe 146 and Avro RJ for FSX
SStSim Concorde for FS2004
Flightsim Labs Concorde X for FSX
QW 757 for FS2004

The other aircraft to be tested are as follows:-

Ifly 737 NGX for FSX
CS757 for FS2004 and FSX (not tested)
QW 757 for FSX
QW BAe 146 and Avro RJ for FS2004
CS 777 for FSX
Wilco ERJ 135/145 for FS2004 and FSX

The completed list will be updated when other aircraft are tested...

I have installed it into other aircraft panels but have yet to test them, the gauge is installed into sub-panels where possible,in the meantime if you want me to send you the panel.cfg of only the above installed aircraft, please pm me and i will give you the details.

The gauge as been installed using FS Panel Studio from http://www.flight1.com software please refer to manual under TGS for further assistance for other aircraft not mentioned above.

Also i have linked the TGS gauge with a compass icon built into the panel of SStSim's Concorde,so i can have the gauge on display or not and it's movable around the cockpit.

This gets the gauge working in Level-D 767-300 (FS9) - added to the end of the panel list in panel.cfg of course, plus title at top. Very good to see it light up after all this time!
