Post subject:  Advanced Generic Presets for Sim Randomizer 3 - Ready to use

If you like the Randomizer's idea of adding multiple elements of variety and uncertainty to your PF3 experience but don't want to spend time on setting up presets yourself, this is for you:

A package of ready-to-use „Advanced Generic Presets“ for SimRandomizer 3.

Representing most of the features of SimRandomizer 3, these presets are intended to provide random variations for departures and arrivals at any airport. There are SIDs and STARs, shortcuts, direct clearances, speed restrictions, high speed approaches and visual approaches at pilot’s discretion as well as varied speed assignments on the approach.
Different presets for small (few traffic), medium (medium traffic) and large (heavy traffic) airports are provided, furthermore for airports in the vicinity of high terrain. Another difference is made regarding the type of the STAR (published procedure as transition to final approach or ATC vectors to final approach after STAR).

The presets were designed for an Airbus A320, but should work with all jet airliners. For turboprops some of the values might have to be adjusted.

Even though I tried to represent what I imagine could be fairly realistic, please note that these presets do not in any way claim to be compliant with real world ATC-regulations!

The purpose of this package is

- not only to provide a set of presets ready to use „out of the box“ for any airport, making use of most SimRandomizer 3 features without the need for the user himself to dig deeper into the endless possibilities SimRandomizer offers,

- but also to serve as a kind of additional tutorial for those who are interested in creating their own presets.

To accomplish this purpose an additional Manual on how to use the SimRandomizer 3 together with PF3 and finally how to create your own specific presets is included, adding to the Manual already provided by Roman.

Furthermore, beyond the generic presets, also included are examples of specific presets for KLAS and KSFO to show what is possible with SimRandomizer 3, PF3, MCE and TTS voices.
You can test these on flights between these two airports using the also included flightplans and PF3-flightplan-settings – and then use them as an inspiration for your own specific presets.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Have fun and happy landings!

I fully recommend Ralf's presets. You will find there many smart ideas, including a 'secret' feature, which is not documented in the Randomizer's user manual. Even if you do not use Randomizer, the manual included in the Ralf's package is a valuable source of information about PF3 itself.
