How about a new FDC? That would be awesome.

FDC 2023
Dream on!

I think it is pretty amazing that software originally built so long ago works as well as it does with modern flight simulators.

I was able to reproduce what happened to you and so investigated a bit further. This is either to do with the geographical location of CYRB or bad FS data. The heading for runway 17 is 214 degrees and the heading for runway 35 is 34 degrees, so with a wind direction of 115 runway 35 is the one sele...

I'll look into perhaps adding a 'always on top' but that could prove troublesome when you want to access the main menu. I normally just keep it clear of other windows Maybe you don't need to - there are many free utilities available that should do this, including one with Microsoft Power Toys that ...

Good day, Dave, I installed the latest Beta (3.19.26) and the Taxi Guidance System seems to have gone to pot, for me that is. I am sure others would have mentioned it otherwise. I'm on FS2004, maybe it only affects that, I don't suppose there are so many users of that now. I am now getting taxi inst...

Have you tried contacting Tower and asking permission for take-off? I'm afraid I can't speak for X-Plane but in FS, key 6 is the solution. The only time I find this necessary is if the airport layout requires you join the runway at a point which isn't the start location. Key 6 cancels the TGS, reque...

A bit more on the above . . . there's a useful page at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/microsoft-esp/cc526949(v=msdn.10) The entry type=2 is OK, that indicates leading-edge flaps. So maybe the the first thing to try is setting the number of flaps to correspond with the second fla...

I am not 100% sure on this, but you might try changing the "type=2" in the first entry to "type=1". I have never seen anything other than 0 or 1 but I don't pretend to understand the significance . . . If that changes the error message, you may be on the right path, but i can see...

I don't think there are any plans for significant changes to the software in the future.

Dave has already pointed out that one of the key problems would be that lack of suitable voice recordings for additional calls.

I don't think there is scope in the software to insert additional checklists, but you should hear once member of the crew call Start No1 (etc) as you start each engine, and One Stable (etc) a few moments afterwards. There is a setting under Options > Flight Deck Calls which allows you to vary the ti...
