Hi Bill, Could you look for a file called 'PF3WebDisplay.log', zip it and upload it for me please. (You should find it in the folder PF3_Displayer\PF3_WEB_Display under you main PF3 folder) Also, please can you confirm that you are actually seeing Remote Text messages in Web Display? Thanks, Martin ...

No, unfortunately this is not set-up correctly and is what is causing your current problem. You have Web Display (WD) set to auto run which overrides the port settings in the WD .ini file. With auto run the port settings are provided by PF3 to ensure that they match, so in your case 1010 for PF3D an...

I've realised since I responded earlier that there is another possible reason why things may have changed: If you have enabled Web Display (WD) autostart in PF3, then the port that is used for the WD Remote Text (RT) interface has probably changed. The default for a manually started WD is 1009, RT p...

It sounds as if you're trying to run both Web Display (with Remote Text) and the Remote Text program. This is possible, but you need to configure them to each use a separate PF3 port; these are shown in Options #2/Advanced options: 2024-02-08 09_25_42-Window.png By default the Remote Text program wi...

My apologies, I probably need to make this clearer in the documentation: Web Display checks that the server and template versions are compatible when it starts up. This means that the major and minor version numbers must match, so template 2.3.1 will only work with a server version of 2.3.x, and not...

No, it's the other way round - Web Display takes a feed from PF3 Remote Text.
We are currently looking into a problem with Remote Text that has come to light with the last couple of PF3 beta releases.
What version of PF3 are you currently using?

Cheers,
Martin

Thank you for the log, I can see what the issue is: 18:04:11 812 PF3 Web Display: Server Release 2.3.1 - Template Release 2.3.1 18:04:11 815 PF3WebDisplay.ini file not found, using default values 18:04:11 818 PF3 address 127.0.0.1, PF3 Display port 1010, WebSocket port 7339 18:04:11 836 Starting PF3...

Not a problem, we haven't documented the internals of Web Display.
Unfortunately the zip file seems to be empty - please could you try again.

Thanks,
Martin

*** Moved to the Web Display sub-forum as this is unlikely to be a PF3 issue *** Hi Bernd, Web Display doesn't interact directly with PF3 to change the frequencies, so I don't think that this is caused by a PF3 update. Other than this, is Web Display working normally? Could you look for a file calle...

The latest beta refers to the revised manual that explain some flight planning changes. Where is it? The revised manual will be available with the next full release, as Dan says; we are in the process of updating it now. In the meantime this post outlines the changes in Beta 88: http://www.ocs-supp...
