START> All Programs> Aerosoft> PFE> Commands , this will open a webpage with a list of the commands, there you will see where you can use the option Request Cleared To Final At Pilot's Discretion in the approach section, if you try to use it too early PFE will tell you its not possible yet. Another ...

I believe that was fixed in the latest update that came out recently i.e. 2.15

All I did previously was keep requesting lower altitudes if ATC did do it for me as it should, then when I was handed over to approach I just asked for clearance to final at my own discretion.

Andy cheers for that extra input thankyou so much! You did get back to my FAF alt question, you said you would enter the FAF alt in the sids and stars page only if you aren't flying a STAR but if i go to set that FAF alt into the box, i can't because you have to have the star active box crossed? No...

Well did you follow the link (in my last post) and then follow the instructions in that thread about the debug mode. The PFE app should always be visible in your task bar, if it's not then it is not running and not working. The FSUIPC window in FS itself can remain onscreen for a few seconds even a...

A SID or a STAR is not part of your plan as far as PFE is concerned, you also cannot put waypoints closer than 10 miles apart from one another or from the airport itself, in most cases PFE will remove them if they are too close when you compile your plan, as explained in the manual and tutorial. All...

Take a look at the thread below for your disappearing PFE problem. http://www.ocs-support.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1497 Then when you have read that I suggest you read the manual and the tutorial at least twice. Look under the windows Start menu for the PFE folder, you will find links to...

Hmm, this is a strange one Dave, I also get the same strange crash mentioned in this thread, only if I have that debug level set at 0, if I set it to any other number other than 0 then it seems to work fine. I wonder if that helps you any. I've only actually tested level 1 and 9.

PFPX should be out relatively soon too and that is going to be a instant classic, so hold off on spending your pennies for now.

PFE is watching AI being controlled by FSX ATC and it is then reading out it's own version of the instructions with better voices and regional accents, it never actually commands AI to do anything that the FS ATC hasn't already told it to do, just because you cannot hear FS ATC voices it does not me...
