Create a new folder on your desktop. Does not matter what it is called but the name of your flight is a good idea. From your PF3 installation copy the two folders "Flight" and "logs" and save them to the folder on your desktop. Then right click the new folder and select "sen...

Actually, you are right of course for flights out of JFK. So let's use Heathrow departures as an example then, where I do need to level off at 28000' for a time... . After departing EGLL you climb to FL280 and maintain it using altitude hold and MACH hold (auto throttle mode) at M0.94. Once you rea...

Martin, not to do with PF3, but when flying KJFK to London/Paris there is no period of level flight at 28000 as there is when flying London-NY. You are very quickly over the ocean out of NY so climb at 400 KIAS (autopilot speed mode) until you are at M0.90/0.95 then select MAX CLB and reheat.

Hi Martin Me again (been helping you on Flightsim.com) Dave will have to deal with the lack of descent instructions, but for using Concorde in PF3 you could try a few options: Setting an initial cruise of FL600 and then just set the maximum nag time and ignore the nag when it occurs. Or set a FL500 ...

I'm a little confused. Do we need a waypoint where we want TOD to be? Also can we put altitude changes into the flight plan for PF3? You don't usually need to have a waypoint specifically for TOD. Most flightplans between major airports will have enough waypoints in the plan already. Once you load ...

I have had a similar experience at a couple of airports around the globe, where I get taxi'd to a car park !

This will be down to the AFCAD for the individual airport concerned.

I use extensive AI and get "Line up and wait" about 50% of the time at busy airports.

Thanks for the explanations chaps. This afternoon at LEPA Palma De Mallorca I was cleared to land and on the point of touching down when an airbus turned on to the runway. I judged I was beyond the point of no return so I put it down! If I had tried a go-around the plane would have stalled ...

Jim If you use Active Sky weather engine, you can load a flight plan into it, and select a setting that forces your arrival weather to be unchanged. You can then know with certainty which runway/STAR will be in use when you arrive. If however you prefer to be surprised by the runway choice offered t...
