Thanks, I've looked into this but don't seem to be getting too far. As an example, I am having problems trying to set up a checklist for the PSS Boeing 757-200/300. I have downloaded an FDC checklist for this aircraft from flightsim.com and installed it OK: I now have these files (and only these) wi...

Dave, I don't see anywhere to post about possible errors (?) in FDC so I hope it's OK for me to use this thread to report things about FDC that seem not quite right and which could perhaps be corrected in a future update. If it is me who is wrong, I apologise in advance and I hope that whatever post...

OK, thank you Dave. Next time this happens (and the 'problem' is fresh in my memory) I'll edit some of the flap values and see what changes occur. The more I use FDC the more impressed I am with the work that must have gone into it. Great programme! I would have one small request for a future update...

Another post: I dare say that after a few weeks, my problems/questions will be fewer, but having only had FDC installed for 10 days or so, I am still on the learning curve at the moment! This question is re. flaps during approach: I have IAS set to, say, 190-200 KIAS and at some stage (after capture...

Hi - yes, I did find it by seraching the help file for 'gear'; I've been editing the settings for the past 15 minutes, though I find it quicker to open the .uco file with a text editor and change the value there - amounts to the same thing (got a backup of the originals, just in case).

Martin :)

I didn't see the config screen for gear - I obviously must look again!

The gear going back up by itself is odd (doesn't happen too often) - the a/c is on autoland (APPR) and was not speeding up (Level-D 767).

Thanks Dave,

Martin

Well, is there any way that I can take back control of the landing gear without disabling the co-pilot entirely (the interaction is very nice: shame to lose it)? In any case, I find that the gear goes down way too early - before the a/c gets anywhere near the localizer, let alone the glidescope. If ...

(which latter are extended to full flaps way too early)...

I should have said 'sometimes'. I have the right a/c profile loaded by the way.

I thought this was a one-off error when it first happened, but now it has happened in different aircraft at different airports a number of times, maybe someone can help. This time, I was about 2 minutes short of touchdown at LOWI, descending. I was not touching any of the controls at the time, when ...

Hi, thanks for the suggestions, but the jet sounds do all sound like airport noises. The 'screeching' I am talking about doesn't sound like airport ambience at all, it really is like two heavy pieces of metal being forcefully scraped past each other (ear-splitting) - I'll have to see if I can record...
