Hi Dave! I have yet to really get back into the cockpit of Microsoft Download Simulator 2020 (and now they announced a 2024 version!), apart from few ATC-less local flights I still feel a bit out of place with it. It is wonderful, but it feels like having to learn everything from scratch again. Than...

You called for an old timer? OK, here I am :) I attacked a zip with two files: VoiceSetExclusions/just-good/VoiceSetExclusions.dat excludes 50 voices (with my personal rating of low or medium) VoiceSetExclusions/with-medium/VoiceSetExclusions.dat excludes 31 voices (with my personal rating of low) [...

Try installing the "DirectX for Managed Code runtimes" from the second entry on http://www.oncourse-software.co.uk/pf3_faqs.htm Edit: Scratch that, this was a different problem, even though it was reported in a thread about the error you got. Edit2: Or maybe it helps anyway? The posts in h...

Very very strange.

This would confirm that PF3 was quite confused at that point.

Can you configure your keypad to wait 1-2 seconds longer between the VCP mode switch and requesting take-off?

But I set myself into Mode 2 from just before takeoff... the VCP should be taking care of such things, shouldn't it? You're absolutely right, I didn't notice this with the eagle eyes Dave said I have :) Edit: You should see a message "Virtual Co-Pilot is now in COMM Plus Mode (handles all comm...

not until I checked in I think that is the main problem: You need to check in, otherwise Departure doesn't know you're listening. Improvements that could be made in PF3: - If you don't check in, someone should try to contact you on the old and new frequency. - If you don't check in, they shouldn't ...

Also, look for a way to automate the switch... This would be nice, maybe an autohotkey script can perform the steps? An alternative would be to make this part of your virtual flying checklists. I'm using one that includes things like where to connect USB cables of yoke/pedals/..., when to turn on U...

G’day all, fairly new to PF3 and enjoying it to date. However, there is one thing that ‘irritates’ me no end. I have set up my online call sign of QANTAS 200 which is fine on the UI but the onscreen text always uses ‘Quantas’. Is this easily corrected or is it an update item? PF3 uses Qantas in mos...

I'll probably get it at some point, but not right at release. A big factor for me is that now non-flat runways are possible. I know that this would theoretically work with P3Dv5, too, but I always avoided P3D for various reasons. Since FSUIPC7 is already being worked on, I hope to be able to use PF3...

Hi, can Jet2 be added to lists of airlines? I want to fly with the channel callsign as I’m told that’s what jet2 use
Jet2 is the successor of Channel Express and kept their callsign Channex, which is already in PF3.
So just select Channel Express in PF3 and all will be fine :)
