Apologies if I misunderstood; I thought Martin was following waypoints that had been added after his flight plan had been loaded in PFE, and which PFE would not know about. Apparently he is ignoring the added waypoints.

Hi Martin, The vectoring problems you are experiencing after takeoff are probably caused by the extra waypoints being entered in your FMC. Your flight plan should not differ from the flight plan you have loaded in PFE. If it does, PFE will tell you that you are off the airway. (This is true unless y...

Regarding the pilot voices, experiment with different voices by changing the setting at the top of the Options #1 screen in PFE. (I assume you did purchase the Voice Set Expansion Pack along with PFE; if not, I definitely recommend it.) Regarding ATC carrying on automatically, this is because you ar...

You do not use the FS9 ATC window; it should not be open. Start FS9, select your flight, and position your aircraft. Then start PFE and load the flight plan you have compiled according to Dave L.'s video. (Click the "Select New ADV" button and select your flight plan; it should be listed a...

Hi Martin,

Can't answer all of your questions, but to disable default ATC in FS9, do the following:
1. Settings, Sound, UNCHECK the "air traffic control" box.
2. Settings, Air Traffic Control, UNCHECK all of the boxes.

PFE overrides many, but not all, settings in PF2000. Cruise altitude and center altitude are functional settings in PF2000 and need to be adjusted (especially for short flights with low cruise altitudes). This is a short clip from the FAQ: A: A few things to check in ProFlight Settings... please ens...

Again excuse the interruption; Peter knows much more about this than I do. A couple of thoughts: What were your settings for cruise altitude and center altitude in PF2000 when you compiled the flight? Since your waypoints were assigned altitudes that were too high for a short flight, I'm wondering w...

Excuse the interruption - in response to Sidney's question - info is on page 68 of the manual (see post from Dave M., "PFE User Manual"). After a flight plan is loaded, go to the "adjust waypoint altitudes" screen and the SID/STAR buttons are at the bottom.

Per the manual, section 8.15.1: "When taxiing to/from the runway if your route takes you over a runway you will need to obtain clearance to do so. As in the real world you should not cross any runway unless cleared to do so. New to PFE version 2.9, when reaching a runway intersection ATC will e...

As I indicated above, CP Mode 2 works very well and I would suggest you give it a try. The handoff from approach to tower takes place with no difficulty and no need to manually tune the comms.
