Interesting. It does seem like I can use only old or only new with American which is weird because the call sign hasn't changed. What's also weird is that I can use both old and new at the same time with KLM. I wonder why it behaves differently for the two airlines.

I guess I'm still having confusion because the American Airlines call sign hasn't changed. It was and still is "American" so it seems it should work with both voice sets. Am I still missing something?

I flew American Airlines flights with PFE with no problems for a long time. I bought the voice pack and now when I select American Airlines PFE tells me I can't use that airline with the old voices. The only way it will allow me to use American is to select the new voices only. Why can I no longer u...

There's the answer. I did a flight with the MD-11 and did not do any step climbs and did receive descent clearances. Thanks for the help.

I emailed the debug log from the MD-11 flight I mentioned. When you say FP profile within PFE do you mean the fix crossing altitudes. If so yes and they match the FMC.

Peter I did request an cruise altitude change because PFE will not assign me even thousand altitudes for westbound flights.

I thought I had this all worked out but not quite. I flew from Amsterdam to Narita and back in the PMDG 747 I got no descent clearances from cruise. On the way to Narita I waited and waited then finally just started the descent myself. I had power to idle and the speed brakes out the whole way down ...

I did another flight and it worked as advertised so you problems sorted. I did adjust the cruise speed too. I inadvertently did the shut down and restart but I'll do it intentionally from now on. Thanks for the help.

I am using the PMDG NGX. I checked which plane was selected in PF2000 and it was the 737 but when I investigated further I saw that it had 4000fpm for the average climb and descent rates. I changed them to more realistic number and re-flew the flight. It worked perfectly that time. PFE cleared me lo...

I don't know if it is me doing something wrong or the program is messed up but I have read and reread the manual. I performed all the actions listed in this forum to correct a bad instal. I am running version 2.14 on Windows 7 Professional 64bit. I have PFE installed in C:\PFE as suggested. I'm as s...
